A few things you might be wondering

Do I need to be a veterinary student?

No. We welcome experienced pet-care workers, shelter volunteers, fosters, dog-training assistants, and students alike. We’re looking for safe handling, reliability, and thoughtful communication—not a particular degree.

Does boarding experience count?

Absolutely. Caring for dogs in a boarding facility or as a pet sitter can bring valuable experience with routines, different temperaments, and helping dogs settle. This role focuses on wedding-day care. Any opportunity to host dogs in your own home would be discussed and assessed separately.

Do I need a car?

A car is not required for every assignment. Tell us how you typically travel. Any driving responsibilities and transport arrangements will be discussed before you accept an event.

Can I work around classes?

We’ll share event dates and times so you can confirm what fits your schedule. Once you accept an assignment, we rely on you to be available for the full agreed shift.

What if an event runs late or is cancelled?

Additional work time is paid at your applicable rate. If we cancel your accepted assignment within 48 hours, you receive the three-hour event minimum.
